So what is it all about?
#OldhamHour is a twitter marketing initiative for local businesses and the Oldham community. Users gather in one electronic meeting place so they can talk to each other, ask for help and share news of services and events they’re involved in.
Started in April 2014 by a handful of local business owners, #OldhamHour has grown in popularity. It is primarily run as an interactive session every Monday, 9pm-10pm, however some users prefer to pop by and read information without obviously being present.
What are the benefits?
A dedicated interactive hour for local businesses to connect with each other and the local community
A way of growing your followers and contacts. Whenever your post is shared (retweeted) by another user, it reaches all that users followers and so on - who knows how many people you can reach!
